ASA Committees

ASA committees are vital to the association. They lead ASA initiatives such as education, outreach to other professions, and professional visibility, and their success is due to the many ASA committee members, who put the association’s strategic plan into action and help determine the future of the association and the world of statistics and data science.

ASA committees are organized under councils. Some come into being through elections, while others are board-standing or defined by the constitution or bylaws. The majority, however, require appointments of volunteer members each year.
