No matter what your current situation, if you have a degree or an interest in a career in statistics, the JSM Career Placement Service will help steer your career in the right direction. Hundreds of Statistical employers attend each year seeking qualified applicants. The JSM Career Placement Service runs concurrent with the Joint Statistical Meetings each year. Applicants who attend are able to research current job openings and contact employers they are interested in pursuing via the onsite message center. Employers often contact applicants prior to the meeting who register in advance to set up an onsite interview. Registered applicants are also able to purchase advance employer access.

All registered applicants will be able to prepare for their onsite experience with online job posting access. This service is now included with the basic applicant registration for the JSM Career Placement Service. Gain access to a fully searchable online database of job postings and interviewers who will be onsite at the JSM Career Placement Service. The online database includes the Employer ID number, which is used to contact employers onsite, as well as detailed position descriptions provided by the employers. Approximately 75% of employers elect to allow applicants to contact them via email in advance. The online job posting database will save you hours of reviewing books of positions onsite and will help you narrow your search to the top employers of interest to you once you are at JSM!
