Karl E. Peace Award for Outstanding Statistical Contribution

To select annually the recipient of the Karl E. Peace Award for Outstanding Statistical Contributions for the Betterment of Society. Recipients will be distinguished individuals who have made substantial contributions to the statistical profession, contributions that have led in direct ways to improving the human condition.
Recipients of the award will have demonstrated through their accomplishments their commitment to service for the greater good. In addition to the usual means by which the ASA seeks nominees, the committee will work to generate high-quality nominations. The committee will also carry over strong nominations from one year to the next to help maintain a strong pool of candidates for the award.
The committee consists of six members, two of whom will be appointed/reappointed each year for three year terms by the President Elect. One member will also be appointed by the President Elect to serve as Chair.
