Committee on Outreach Education
Charge:
- To develop enhanced Continuing Education programs that will focus attention on continuing education for non-members and particularly, nonstatisticians with different professional backgrounds.
- To evaluate the understanding of the uses and values of statistics in a broad and generally untapped audience of potential users; to make quality instruction available to nonstatisticians.
- To enhance the visibility of the ASA and the profession as the preeminent source of statistical training and education.
Composition: The committee has nine members, three of whom are appointed/reappointed each year by the President Elect for three year terms.
